Lonnie was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered with his infectious smile, sense of humor, his brilliant blue eyes and kind heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Lonnie graduated from Roseville High School in 1999 and flourished throughout his career, working as a sales manager at Nordstrom, as well as several other retail companies. Most recently he worked tirelessly for ABC Supply Company, developing strong relationships with contractors, tradespeople, customers, and most of all, his co-workers. He fostered mutual respect amongst them by first demonstrating his instinctive respect for others.
He enjoyed fishing, golf, baseball, and all sports. Lonnie also treasured spending time with family - camping, playing games, and appreciating the great outdoors. He especially cherished his time at the Donner Lake family cabin.
Lonnie’s love for dogs was a lifelong bond of companionship, sparking joy and happiness in his heart. He had a particular fondness for yellow Labradors and English Bulldogs.
Lonnie had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. He had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel valued and appreciated. His clever sense of humor brought laughter and smiles, as evidenced by the twinkle in his eye and that mischievous grin.
Lonnie is survived by his loving parents, Ken Lake, of Roseville and Kathy McCarty Lake, of Livermore, his sister, Dr. Jamie Lake and her husband, Matt Orpesa, of Roseville, and nephews Matthew and Jesse Orpesa, also of Roseville, extended family including numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved English Bulldog, Mr. Magoo.
