Loren was born to W.B. (Bob) Chitwood and Frances Chitwood on August 13, 1951, at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage Alaska. Although most of his life was spent in and around Rocklin, California, he visited Alaska twice searching for his Alaskan roots only to return to California.
Loren attended Oakmont High School in Roseville, California. Most of his working life was in garage door sales and services.
Loren was predeceased by his father, Bob Chitwood, and his brother, Steve Chitwood. He is survived by his mother, Frances Chitwood; his children, Loren Chitwood II, Ben Chitwood and Dawn Chitwood Burgren; his grandchildren, David, Christopher and Raegan Chitwood and Will Burgren; and his sister, Cyndy Comstock.
A celebration of Loren's life will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, 11:00 a.m., at Lambert's Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, California.
Private interment will occur at a later date.
