Louise Monica Cornelius passed away April 2, 2019 at age 72 in Roseville, California. Louise was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 11, 1946 to Louie and Adele Shone. She graduated from Dartmouth High School in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and from the Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She served three years, honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant. While serving in the Army at Fort Carson she met her life-long love Jerry to whom she was married for 49 years. She is survived by her husband Jerry, son Shawn (Suzanne), daughters Dr. Tara Cornelius (Phil Reece) and Dawn Sanguinetti (Dean), and nine grandchildren along with her sister Pauline Wiseman, brother Carl Dow (Jane), and many nephews and nieces. Louise worked for 40 years as an emergency room nurse and in various other nursing positions ending her career in 2005 as a Clinical Educator. She enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening, her daily trips to Starbucks, keeping up with old colleagues, testing the theory that the “house always wins”, and having long lunches with her dear friend, Arlene. Most of all she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Louise created a loving home where her children flourished and her grandchildren filled her with pride. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother and she made a point of cherishing every moment shared with each of her children and grandchildren. For the past six years she displayed amazing courage and strength as she coped with the complications of cancer. She loved her life and died with no regrets. The family has scheduled a time for viewing at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, California on Sunday, April 7 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. (www.lambertfuneral.com) The family will welcome her friends to a Celebration of Life at a later date. She will live with us forever and will be dearly missed. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.dignitymemorial.com

My Thoughts and Prayers are with You Today. Louise was a Very Special Lady and I will Miss Her. Some of my Fondest Memories are of the times spent with Jerry and Louise here in So. Cal. Your Love and Support really helped.

I only knew Louise for less than a week but she had such a great impact on my life. She always had a great smile, words of encouragement. Even when she was hurting, she always had kind words to say. I'm saddened that she's no longer with us but I'm comforted knowing that I had the chance to be blessed with her presence. Farewell beautiful Louise and thank you for changing my life for the better. You will always be in my heart.
