Luciano Pacheco

Luciano Pacheco Jr. passed away at his home in Roseville, CA on September 17th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 10, 1937, Lou cherished his family and was a true gentleman with a kind heart and gentle soul. Lou was the beloved husband of the late Kay Pacheco who he shared 52 wonderful years. Lou is survived by his two devoted daughters Julie Greene and Christie Dujmovic, his two sons-in-law John Greene and Joe Dujmovic, his three beloved grandchildren Johnny Greene, Anya and Josh Dujmovic, his sister Judy Murphey and her husband Dave Murphey. Lou was also a special Uncle to many loving nieces, nephews, and extended families in California and Hawaii.

As an early Silicon Valley Engineer and Entrepreneur, Lou held a true passion for Electronics. He began his career in the fledgling semiconductor industry at Fairchild and National Semiconductor. Lou applied his entrepreneurial spirit when he started his business, Versitile Integrated Modules (VIM) with his late business partner Leonard Vandergag. Their 20 year partnership led to 2 patents and improved reliability for LED testing.

Throughout his High School years, Lou excelled at sports. As a graduate of San Lorenzo High, he held a 40+ year record for the 100 yard dash and was inducted into the High School Hall of Fame in 2008. Lou continued his enthusiasm for sports as a lifelong 49er fan.

In retirement Lou loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching 49er games, visiting antique car shows, attending Catholic bible study classes, and traveling.

The Memorial Mass and reception will be held on Friday September 23rd at 10am at St Clare Catholic Church, 1950 Junction Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Lou’s name to St Clare Catholic Church or Kaiser Hospice, 2025 Morse Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95825.
