Born on December 30, 1939, in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico to Luis and Josefina Regalado, Maria was a bright light from a very young age. She dedicated her life to creating a warm, welcoming home as a devoted homemaker, where she was known for her unconditional love, kindness, and dedication to her family.
Beyond managing her household, Maria enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her canaries. She also loved coloring and was always very proud of the pictures she created, sharing her vibrant artwork with those she loved. However, her biggest passion was the time she spent volunteering at St. Rose Church. Maria dedicated 30 years of her life volunteering in the Spanish Ministry, spending countless hours making sure that the tasks she was assigned were handled with love and devotion.
She is survived by her siblings, Jose Luis Regalado (Anita), Josefina Zavala, and Nora Magures (Dennis). She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Josie Ann Garcia (Kurt), Arturo Zavala (Andrea), Yvette VanZandt (Richard), Gabbie Regalado (Alan), Chris Regalado (Aaron), Deanna Regalado, Katie Elmore, and Madie Cottingham, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Manuel H. Alvarez and her parents, Luis and Josefina Regalado.
