

Mary Lou (Crabb) Crabtree. Born June 14, 1934. Entered into rest on November 15, 2024, at the age of 90 years old. Born in Schyler, Nebraska. Then at the age of 2 yrs old. moved to California with her Mom, Francis, Father, Harry Sr., Brother Harry Jr. They lived in Sacramento County until setting up permanent residence in Roseville, CA.
Mary Lou attended, grade school and middle school in Roseville then graduated from Roseville High School in 1952. She was a member of the marching band and played the clarinet.
During her teen years and early twenties, she belonged to the Theo Rho Girls, Odd Fellow and Rebekah’s. She did several events and outings with her Rebekah Sisters. One memory was working on the Rose Parade in Pasadena.
In 1950-1951 Mary Lou helped her Grandparents build a cabin at Wrights Lake. This was her favorite place. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with her Grandparents.
Mary Lou worked at McClellan Air Force Base where she met Audie Crabtree. They were married on October 5, 1956. Spending their honeymoon in Siskiyou County, hunting.
After marriage they started a Taxidermy Business. Mary Lou ran the business while Audie continued to work at McClellan.
Mary Lou enjoyed traveling abroad with Audie going hunting and fishing. They traveled all over. Canada, Alaska, Manitoba even Africa in 1995, throughout North America. After Audie passed, she went to New Zealand her son and grandson. Mary Lou and Audie enjoyed attending Conventions for Safari Club, FNAWS, Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, NTA (National Taxidermy Association), while making friends and memories.
Mary Lou truly enjoyed watching the boys play baseball. She even became a Little League Umpire for the Sunrise/Citrus Heights Little League. She was liked by all teams and fair to all players.
Mary Lou and Audie were married for 58 years up until Audie passed away in 2015. They were blessed with two children and three grandkids that they enjoyed tremendously.
Mary Lou is survived by her Daughter, Gail Wilcox (James). Son, Chris. Grandkids, Matthew, Lisa, her only Granddaughter, and Richard. Brother Harry Crabb, Jr. of Roseville, Sister, Linda Webster, of Arizona along with various nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband Audie, Father, Harry Crabb Sr, Mother, Francis Crabb, and brother Don Crabb.
A funeral service for Mary will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620.
