Ollie was 95-years-old, born on August 31, 1923 in New Mexico, the daughter of Robert and Bertha Little. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 1942 after high school graduation working during the war as a “Rosie the Riveter.” She was a devout Christian and went to Southern California Bible College (now Southern California College) to study the Bible and earn a B.A. and teaching credential. There she met her future husband, Daniel Pierpont Nicodemus, and they married in February 11, 1950. Together they purchased a chicken ranch in Bloomington, California in 1952 where they lived and raised four children during the next 28 years. Ollie taught school for a few years but found that she wanted to devote her time to raising her children. She loved children and began a ministry to children through Bible clubs, Sunday school and children’s churches.
Ollie and Daniel had a strong faith in God and faithfully attended the Assembly of God churches in San Bernardino, Bloomington, Folsom, and Sacramento. She and Daniel moved to the Sacramento, California area in 1980. After Daniel died in 2003, she lived for 7 years with her daughter Lynne in Rio Vista, CA and then for 9 years with her daughter, Eileen and husband Gary in Palm Desert and Anthem, Arizona. She was deeply involved in sharing the love of Christ with all she met and especially enjoyed teaching God’s word through music and worship writing many songs and poems. She is survived by her sister Naomi Ramos, her four children Lynne, Sharon, Steve and Eileen, two grandchildren, Chipper (Daniel) and Michael, and one great granddaughter, Charlee Jade and another great grandson that is on the way in April 2019.
