On Thursday September 9th, 2021, David Heldt passed away at the age of 81 in Roseville, CA. Dave lived in Roseville for most of his life.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Dorothy and brother Darvin. He is survived by: his three sisters Merrilee, Ellen and Nancy, his brother Donald and his three sons, Kirk Heldt of La Center, Washington, Craig Heldt of Roseville and Kevin Heldt of Norwalk, Connecticut, eleven nieces and nephews, four grandsons, one granddaughter and five great grandchildren.
Dave was born near Evansville, Indiana where he was the fourth of six children. The Heldt family moved to California from Indiana in 1948 and he attended elementary and high school in Roseville. Dave was a milkman for 60 years and a neighborhood staple in Sierra Gardens for over 50 years. Dave loved to bring joy to everyone and one of his favorite traditions, and a neighborhood institution, was to hand out chocolate milk on Halloween to all the trick and treaters.
Dave will be missed by his family, friends, neighbors and customers he served in the Roseville area.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, October 7th at 2 p.m. at the Hillcrest Church, 911 Hillcrest Avenue, Roseville CA 95678.
