I love you so much. You taught David and I to smile at everyone, treat everyone with respect and always look at the positive things in life. "Keep your head up, you can do it", you would always say. Your friendship will be greatly missed. You were so beautiful and I will miss your smile and motherly warmth you gave David and I. Nothing could prepare me for this. The loss is so immediate, the sorrow and the pain so immense. You are out of pain now, and with our Lord and Grandma and Grandpa Dixon and other family and friends. I am at peace with that. I love you so much.

Beloved wife and loving mother, passed away peacefully on October
12, 2012 in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Susan is now with our Lord and
her parents, Frances and Joe Dixon, in her eternal resting place.
Susan was a lifelong Roseville, CA resident. She worked as an
elementary school teacher and career counselor, accomplishing her
Master's Degree in Career Counseling. Susan loved Roseville and
cherished the memories of her Roseville High School 1957
classmate experiences. In her life, Susan loved to spend time with
her family and friends, dance, go shopping, garden, read, travel, knit
with her beloved friends, worship with her bible study group, and
loved her two cats, Molly and Alice. Susan is survived by her loving
husband of 29 years, Charles Mentz; daughter, Diane Soule (Mark);
son, David Cochran; stepson, Paul Mentz; cousins, Lee Elam (Joan
and children/grandchildren); Patricia Goodrich (Stan and
children/grandchildren). A celebration of Susan's beautiful life will be
held on November 9, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Adventure Christian
Church in Roseville, CA. A memorial gift in Susan's memory may be
made in lieu of flowers to: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The
American Heart Association, or the Placer SPCA.
