Viola Josephine Clayton, the cherished daughter of William and Clara Whaley, born on May 23, 1923 in Neodesha, Kansas. passed away on May 20, 2011 in Roseville, California at the age of 87 years. A Lifelong Resident of Placer County, Viola was a devoted homemaker, member of Beta Epsilon Chi and she traveled extensively with the 31 Club. She especially enjoyed traveling to Hawaii. Viola is survived by her loving son, James Philip Clayton and his wife, Darlene; Grandchildren, Brenda Hammett, and Paul and Kevin Clayton, 5 great grandchildren, Sister, Violet Swartz . She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and 2 sons, Ron and Alan.
