William Parley Catlin

William Parley Catlin, age 86. Born August 5th, 1925, Missouri, Died April 3, 2014, Roseville, CA. Husband of Dolores Elkins Edwards Catlin, father of Beverly Lynn Catlin Easton and Peggy Jean Catlin Nesmith, stepfather of Jeff Edwards, Lisa Edwards Ross, Laura Edwards Haueter, and Joseph Edwards. Grandfather of Jonathan Nesmith and Matthew Nesmith, Rebecca Edwards, Michael Edwards, Laura-Marie Ross, Jacob Ross, Richard “Sonny” Christensen, Josh Christensen, Meghan Christensen, Nicholas Christensen, Jacob Edwards, Jared Edwards, Jocelyn Edwards, James Nesmith and Christopher Nesmith. Brother of June Catlin Cimino, and Theda Catlin Baldwin. Preceded in death by his wife, Norma, his brother Rodney, his sister Theda Baldwin, and his step-daughter Lisa Ross.

Lifelong machinist, diesel mechanic, trucker, and industrial mechanic. Served in WWII in the Merchant Marine, and in Korea in the United States Army/National Guard, earning a Bronze Star.

Burial will take place in Whittier, CA, at Rose Hills Cemetery, date to be announced.
