

Rev. Barbara Elizabeth (Ferry) King, 89, was promoted to glory at her home in St. Clair Shores, MI on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Rosaline Ferry, her husband Rev. Clarence E. King, her son Rev. Dr. David M. King and her grandson Connor D. McMahon. She is survived by her son Rev. Mark E. King, her daughter Kathleen (Corey) McMahon, daughter-in-law Nora (Stuart) Baker and her grandchildren Jonathan King, Ethan King, Alia King and Carter McMahon.
Barbara was born on November 13, 1936. In her youth she loved to go fishing and to dance. While in school at Annunciation, she learned to play cello.
She married Clarence on October 3, 1959, and they were married for over 62 years until he went with the Lord in 2021. Barbara was a very dedicated mother and loved her family. Her grandchildren were a huge source of pride, and she would willingly show off photos she carried. Her favorite scripture was Joshua 24:15 “as for me and my house we will serve the Lord”. Barbara was an ordained minister and wrote three books along with numerous tracts to share the love of Jesus. She often carried tracts in her purse to share with strangers she would meet and offer to pray for them. She faithfully prayed every morning for everyone on her prayer lists. Barbara with her husband Clarence founded Healing for the Nations Chrisitan Church in 1980 and dedicated her life to sharing the goodness of God with all who crossed her path. The church currently resides in Warren, MI. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation with the church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Healing For The Nations Christian Church, 3800 E 11 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48091. Burial will place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 12:30PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442. Please share a memory with Rev. Barbara’s family on her online guestbook.
