Carol Ann BEZNY

Carol Ann Bezny (Gillespie) died peacefully on January 17, 2022 in Eastpointe, MI at the age of 89. Carol is survived by her three Children; Marilyn Jones (Dennis), Raymond Bezny (Bonnie) and Denise Truesdale (Alex), Grandchildren; Anthony Bezny, Shannon Considine (Billy), Patrick Bezny, Kelly Toggweiler (Alan) and Alex Truesdale Jr., Great Grandchildren; Brayden, Payton, Liam and Clair, sister-in-law Fran Gillespie along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Stanley Bezny, Parents Don and Laura Gillespie, Sister Dona (Edwin) Tomkieiwicz and he Brother Jerry Gillespie. Carol was born on January 6, 1933 in Detroit, MI. She graduated high school from St. Philip Neri in 1950. She married Ray in 1955. Carol held various jobs over her years including Bookkeeper, working in the local schools and working for Kresge's Department Store as a cashier (Carol was always a wiz with numbers). Over 52 years the couple welcomed 3 children into their home and she went on to become a loving Grandma to five and Great Grandma to four. Her family remembers her as kind, devoted, selfless and always cheery. She was always on their side and encouraging of their dreams. Carol loved to learn, enjoyed all kinds of poetry and loved to laugh with her cherished family. She was an avid Red Wings fan, loved playing Bingo and all forms of Trivia. Carol's team was always the team to beat! She was her family's lucky charm and will continue to be as their Guardian Angel. The family is having a private ceremony.
