Carrie Loretta Ellis

Carrie was a familiar and welcoming face in her community, dedicated to her work at the New Baltimore Post Office as a letter carrier. Carrie was happiest when surrounded by nature and those she loved. She had a deep passion for being by the water. Her favorite evenings were spent gathered around a bonfire, with family and friends. Family was central to Carrie’s life. She cherished family cookouts, where good food, warmth, and togetherness created lasting memories.

Loving mother of Dylan (Jenna) McAllister. Beloved daughter of JoAnn and the late James Hollifield. Dearest sister of Brian (Charity) Hollifield and the late David Hollifield. Proud aunt of Bethany, Brianne, Caden, Evin and Blake Hollifield. She will also be missed by her loyal dog, Ohnee. At the tender age of 16, Carrie experienced the profound loss of her best friend, Tammy Remilong. Carrie is also survived by many aunts and uncles.
