

Known as Betty for many years, Elizabeth was born at 100 South St., Bristol, CT. on November 18, 1914, to Gertrude and Winthrop W. Dunbar, and passed away October 5, 2017 at age 102. Elizabeth was predeceased by brother Winthrop C., daughter Betty Claire Copeland, 1971, son-in-law Gary E. Morrell, 1999, daughters-in-law Carol Clayton, 2009 and Louise Copeland, 2011. Also niece and nephew Linnea (Carl) Peterson and Edwin Engstrom and their mother, Alice Engstrom.
She is survived by son Wendell Copeland and children Brenda Rypysc, Noreen Wolf and James Copeland, son Earl E. Clayton, Jr., and children Jill (Raymond) Le Fbvre, Tami (Robert) Jankowski, and Jesse Clayton, daughter Bonnie (Dennis) Adler and children Edward (Michelle) Krampitz III, Amber (Rudolofo) Menchaca, and Clayton Morrell. Also stepsons G. Scott (Linda) Morrell and Brian (Lynn) Morrell. There are also nieces Diana and Kathleen, daughters of Winthrop C. Dunbar, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was a homemaker who taught organ in the 1960’s. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and gardening. She was an active member of “Door of Hope” Church, Plantsville, CT while a resident of Southington 1980’s-1990’s. She moved to Michigan in 1998, living in Eastpointe four years and Roseville ten years with Bonnie and Dennis before residing at Father Murry Nursing Centre, Center Line, four years. Our loving Mom and Gramma is now in heaven in the arms of Jesus.
