He is survived by his children George (Bonnie) Hammer, Evelyn (Jeff) Gatto, Mary (Dan) Bullock, Carol (Mike) Muskat, Helen (Jim) Lawson and Michael (Debra) Hammer; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; sister Christine Johnson and brother Ron Hammer. He was pre-deceased by his wife Joan and son David.
Keeping with Mr. Hammer's wishes, cremation will take place.
