Gertrude E. “Trudy” Kareus, age 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Kareus; loving mother of Susan (John) Maggetti and Phil (Deborah) Kareus; devoted grandmother of Josh, Sarah, and Adam; and dear sister of Dorothy Irving, Maxine Pieschke, the late Bill Howard, and the late Notie Faye Huneycutt. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, July 22, 1:00 p.m. at Crosspointe Christian Church, Grosse Pointe Woods. Memorials may be given to the church music program or the Alzheimer’s Association.
