Kelly & Danny, I still remember our trip to Roseville in 1976.  All of the Mathews' were at your mom and Dad's place hanging out in the basement with Greg.  Kelly wasn't even born yet.  We all went to some fall festival, (this would have been October/November) time frame.  Jerry & Jeanie and that crew even came.  I was only age 6, so Dan was 10.

Greg and I started at SJMO at the same time. He was my boss and a great guy. I  will miss all of the talks about work and life.

Greg loved everyone's kids.  He would stop and talk to any child and even played with my boys' Lego's.  Greg was special to many and special to me.  I will miss Greg.   Virginia Chambo

I'm sorry to hear of Greg's passing.  He was a wonderful man who was always smiling as he walked the halls at SJMO.  He will be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Greg's passing, and like so many others who have left their condolance's here, can hardly express how much he will be missed at St. Joe's Oakland and in the world.  I  got to work with Greg for nearly 10 years.  We negotiated some contracts together and dealt with some unusual situations together.  As others have commented, Greg was always smiling, never complaining, and regularly reminded me to go home each evening and always on Friday.  My condolences to the Williams family.  I hope the comments from the St. Joe's family give you comfort and that you will know how much love we all have for Greg. I hope too that you will know how he contributed to - and will be missed by - the St. Joe's family.

Greg was such a kind and empatheic man.  He was always so easy to work with and made me laugh.  Greg was always there to help me in or out of my car, carry my bag and just show kindness when I needed it trying to recover from two knee replacements.  I will miss his smile and his teasing. Heaven got a good man way too early.  I'll miss you Greg!

You will forever be remembered and missed. God rest you sweet gentle soul Greg.

We had so many great times with Greg.  From the nights at Club 11 to the Beavis and Butthead moments when we were just hanging out.  We were blessed to have him in our lives and will miss him.
We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

My heart is heavy and it hard to believe Greg has left us. All the beautiful comments made by everyone is a true reflection of this man and how he interacted with everyone.  He made me laugh when he told his stories and always ended with "I can't make this stuff up Carol"!!  I will miss you Greg Williams!

Greg will truly be missed by St. Joe's Mercy Volunteers.  He always greeted us with a warm smile and shared a joke or two.  It was a pleasure to work with Greg.  May God comfort his family and friends during this time.   Rest in peace Greg!

Greg was such a positive influence on the employees, patients, and visitors at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and will surely be missed.  He never once spoke negatively about his health and always maintained a positive attitude.  My condolences to the Williams family.

I will sincerely miss Greg and the fun times we shared in the office. I never heard Greg complain about his health. I will always remember him for including me in some meaningful events.

I am so very sorry of hearing that Greg has passed. It has been over 30 years since I last saw him at Roseville High but I can easily remember him and Jim Walters being the best of friends. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Greg. It's hard to even gather my thoughts in writing something that would do him justice. Our conversations were always filled with joking and laughing every single time. Greg was definitely one of the good guys and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers to Greg's family.

My sincere condolences to Greg's family. I had the pleasure of working at St. Joe with Greg for his entire career here. I found him to be always pleasant and helpful. There were many times when we were in some pretty tight predicaments, as I worked as an  Emergency Room nurse and security's services were often relied upon to help contain and restrain our patients. I will surely miss his smiling face and the sarcasm he sometimes threw around. God Bless Greg and his family.

Greg had a special way of connecting to each of us in his SJMO family.  A smile, a shared laugh over a "I can't make this stuff up" situation, a stop by my office to make sure things were ok at the end of the day...Greg you are truly missed.

Greg was one of the most welcoming persons in the security department at St. Joes. He also wrote the Safety Circulars to help ensure we followed good safety procedures while on the grounds. Definitely too soon and will be missed.

The entire St. Joseph Mercy Oakland family is feeling the loss of our dear Greg.  He was loved by all here.  He always had a smile on his face and a kind word.  The women in my area all worked late and Greg would always come and check on us make sure we were safe and even close our doors for us.  He loved a piece of chocolate during is visits.  He will be truly missed.

So sad to hear of such a great life being taken away too soon. He was always such an awesome guy, even when I would try to charge him $15 dollars for his sandwich at Joes. :) He always had a light and cheerful attitude and it will truly be missed by many Rest In Peace Greg, hope they have plenty of free sandwiches where you are.

I got to know Greg when he first came to St. Joes. A very sweet guy, always a team player with a positive attitude, I will certainly miss him and will cherish the memories I have.
