Helen A. (nee: Oakes) Mitchell, age 98 of Roseville, passed away March 26, 2013. She was born in Rangeley Lakes, Maine, the youngest daughter to the late Cleon and Katie Oakes. Helen was the beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Tom (Kathy). Dear grandmother of Douglas (Lindsay Bergeron), Lisa (Matthew) George and Bradley (Katie). Great grandmother of Makayla and Anabelle George. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Cleon Oakes Jr., Hobert Oakes and Barbara Sayers. Helen was formerly employed by Zenith Carburetor and J.L. Hudson’s Anchor Room. Helen touched many lives and will remain “Babcia” to everyone forever. Visitation Monday 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with an evening vigil service at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave., Roseville.
