Irene “Lenie” was born March 18, 1931 in Gladstone, MI, the daughter of John and Amelia (Raspor) Perman. Irene was a graduate of Gladstone High School.
Irene married a hometown boy Edward Lauzon September 27, 1952 and moved to St. Clair Shores, Michigan where they raised four children. She was a licensed beautician for many years. She enjoyed volunteering at her children’s schools. One of her many accomplishments was establishing and running the library at the newly opened St. Germaine’s Catholic School from 1965 – 1973.
She loved gardening, drawing, reading and was proficient at crocheting. She once won a ribbon at the Michigan State Fair for a crocheted afghan.
Irene Lauzon’s survivors include:
Daughter Jane (Lauzon) Yonce, son Daniel E. and Connie D. (Brown) Lauzon, daughter Diane I. (Lauzon) and Bill Morse and daughter Cary Lauzon. Three grandchildren Nicholas Yonce, David Lauzon and Brie (Lauzon) Dura and two great grandchildren Astrit Dura and Margot Yonce
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by his sister, Amelia (Perman) Lamberth, brother Edward Perman and husband of 55 years, Edward Lauzon.
