

James M. Barnett, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 22, 2015 in Port Huron. Jim was born on April 29, 1944 in Detroit to George V. and Evelyn R. (Schneider) Barnett. He was raised with his siblings in Roseville, and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1962. Jim worked as a gravel train truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. Among his hobbies he enjoyed shooting pool, working on cars and woodworking. Jim is survived by his children, Amy L. Barnett, James V. Barnett, and Kellie (Richard) Roskey; siblings, John (Susan) Barnett, William (Denise) Barnett and Monica (James) Brabant; grandchildren, Stefanie (Jason) Patterson, Joseph Rigley, Jennifer Rigley, Joshua Barnett, Jacob Barnett, Tiffany Adams and Matthew Barnett; great-grandsons, Noah Rigley and Tyler Patterson. In addition to his parents, Jim was pre-deceased by his oldest brother, Ernest Barnett.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 12:30 – until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville. A private burial will occur at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may make a memorial donation in Jim’s memory to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen 1820 Mt.
