I think about you a lot Jer... it's crazy how much we all still miss you at work... sometimes I even still hope that it's all a bad joke, and that you'll be comin around the next corner on your hilo, a big ol smile on your face and a mountain dew in your hand!  I've still got the leaflet from your memorial service in my vest pocket at work... you really touched my life Jerry.  And I can honestly say ill never forget you!

Sharon, know you know you had a great man.  Jerry was one of kind, there's no doubting that.  I hope that as time goes on, it becomes easier for you.  And one day, you and he will be reunited in Heaven!  God Bless you and the kids as well.

When I sat there beside you, could you feel me there? My arms wrapped around you, and I was rubbing your hand.. I was talking about all the good times, for me there was a lot each and every day. I wanted you to feel love, comfort and happy in some way. I watched your every breath, and I prayed each one wasn't your last. The time we got to share together, went by too quick... Too fast. I wanted you to wake up, please Dad... Open your eyes. Tell me this is a nightmare and not our goodbyes. As your last breath grew closer, we sat there peacefully together, my heart continually breaking, because I wanted you forever. Then there it was your final breath of air, I didn't want to believe it, this is so cruel and not fair. I held your soft hand and prayed you'd breath again. I wasn't ready for you to go, I couldn't admit that this was the end. But then I realized that you were now in peace, and not suffering any more. You were beginning the life of an angel, and your body would no longer be sore. I held you close and squeezed you tight and tried not to say goodbye. I've lost my Dad and my number one friend, all my heart could do is cry. I slowly got up, I wanted so much to stay. I leaned over and gave you one more kiss, it was so hard to walk away. Dad you are my entire world and I miss you so very much. I wish I could feel your lovable cuddle, and your soft and gentle touch. But for now I have to wait, until we meet again. Hello Sharon, so sorry to hear of Jerry passing, he was a great friend, craftsman and funny, I will miss him, may God comfort you and your family in your loss.

To the Cox family,  we had a lot of laughs and good times at SHAP, Jerry was one of a kind, when he retired I lost a good friend,and even though we didn't keep in touch I still think of him often,his craftmanship , his craziness, his climbing a beam like a monkey,just made a lot of our days. As I wake in the morning and hear birds chirping I think of you daddy, as I walk outside and smell the fresh air and see so many beautiful birds I think of you. You always loved watching the birds.  When I'm outside at night  and I see all the stars and the beautiful night sky and the smell of someone having a bonfire I think of you. I know how much you loved having your fires at night and we had a lot of late nights together hanging out by the fire laughing and listening to your funny jokes, and I will always remember you and momma making sure you made it to the store to get stuff for smores.. Oh.... How you loved those s'mores! We have so many memories that we shared.. The talks we had, the advice you gave and you were always there to help me no matter how big or small the problem. Daddy I miss you so much as each day goes on but I know you're still with me everyday and I know in my heart that you knew and still know how very much I love you!  You were not only my dad, but my hero and my angel! If it wasn't for you moving me, Brianna and Brittany down here 12 years ago we wouldn't have been able to have and enjoy the life we had with you daddy! You saved me and my girls and gave us the best life and I couldn't have asked for anything better. You will always be remembered daddy and never ever forgotten! Jerry was a loved member of our congregation.  My fondest and funniest memory of Jerry was when he played Santa a couple of Christmases ago.  He brought his little Chihuahua dressed in antlers.  Jerry had an awesome sense of humor and loved to help out in any way he could.  We still have the wooden crosses and wishing well he made us.  He was a skilled wood worker.  But mostly, he was just a really good guy.  Jerry, I miss you man.  See you when I get there bro.  I hope you're finally getting that drum solo you always wanted.

Sharon and family, you know how fond we were of Jerry.  He was just so unique.  He was always full of genuine love for others, and was all about "servicing" others.  As a parent, I especially loved how he truly enjoyed children.  He knew they were special in God's eyes.  He no doubt has a special place in Heaven.  We love you Sharon, and we will miss Jerry very much.

Jerry, God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.So He put His arms around you and Whiepered 'Come to Me' you were loved dearly by all. Jerry it has only been five days since you left us, yet it seems like forever. You should be honored and amazed at the number of people who have sent their love.
