John Schroeder, age 88 passed away at home on February 17, 2013. John was born November 15, 1924 in Kernei, Yugoslavia. He was the beloved husband of Hedwig of 60 years. Loving father of John (Kathy), Bernie (Jan), Mary (Wick), Michael (Denise) and Steve (Lori). Proud grandfather of Paula (RJ), Nigel, Britney, Haley, Scott, Andrew, Griffin, Jordin, Taylor, Sydney, Alec and Johnathan and great-grandfather of Paige. Dearest brother of Franz, Peter, Jacob, Marianne and the late Barbara. Mr. Schroeder was a 22 year employee at General Electric. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave., Roseville. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 18430 Utica Road, Roseville.
