John Edward Wisniewski, 52, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in Clinton Township, MI. He was born on November 13, 1972 in Missouri to Clara Haines and Ronald Wisniewski. He graduated from Mount Clemens High School in 1990, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1991. He is survived by his daughters Keri Pugh (Bradley), Jenna Wisniewski (Dylan McAllister), and Brandy Wisniewski (Anthony Cooper), along with grandchildren Rowan Pugh and Riley Pugh, former spouse Sherry Tisdall, parents Clara Haines (Craig) and Ronald Wisniewski (Kathy), and siblings Michael Wisniewski (Corey) and Tiffany Qualls. In the Marines, John’s love for sports grew. He would always talk about playing volleyball, snorkeling, and body boarding. Once he returned home, he would spend many nights playing hockey with his friends. Most recently, he was passionate about bowling and golf. If the weather was nice in the summer, you knew you would most likely find John on the golf course with a beer in his hand and best friend Rob and all their friends by his side. He was the happiest when he was sharing his love of sports with his family and friends. John’s passion for sports didn’t stop there, if he wasn’t on the course or rolling one down the lane, he was most likely watching them on TV or playing a Madden video game. He also loved collecting sports cards. Aside from sports, John loved exploring diverse cuisines. He always had a list of new restaurants he wanted to try, and loved trying new recipes he saw on TV with his children. John’s true joy was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren, including when he would tell stories about living in Hawaii and places he still wanted to travel. His grandchildren Rowan and Riley loved him so much. Rowan would get so excited when his truck pulled up to the house. John brought joy and happiness to many people in his life. He always had a good joke, or a trivia fact, for every occasion. John will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
