My condolences to the Thiel family. Joe passed just as he wished, in his own home till the very end, I had got to know Joe pretty good in the past year, as we shared a passion for the shooting sports, and had many conversations about it,he even taught me a couple things! 
He was sharp as a tack till the end, and is missed by all.

What a wonderful celebration of my fathers life. Two big surprises, my nephew and Rodger Ducofre showed up! Barry's son, Jamie, and Chase joined us paving a way for renewed relationship after many years. Edith and Adolph, close friends were present along UAW Local 160 members, Fritz and joe, dad's apprentice. Special stories were told by Jim Flanigan and Stan Stanik. Simone and Carol Dickersom sent a special letter. These people were like Aunts and Uncles, brothers and sisters when we were growing up. Nancy did a wimderf Job with flowers and photo's. Rev. Lawrence had a very moving speech. The food was WONDERFUL! Special prayers for Joan Erson and wonderful conversations with Jim, Stan, Theresa, Fritz, Joe and Roy and Gretchen Tage. Many wonderful, funny, and moving stories of the life of Joe Thiel. I would especially like to thank the Czerniawski family for being such wonderful friends and a part if our family. Love to everyone! I hope I did not forget anyone. I am having the twins Bday party today!

Barry, our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during this sad day.  Michael, Barry is not lost.

To avoid confusion there are two memorials for dad. Barry Thiel's is separate and on Saturday. Janet Thiel, Michael Thiel, Nancy Thiel, our children and cousins will only be at the Friday memorial dinner at Louis Chop house in Chesterfield on Friday at 6:00. The UAW and friends also have extended their sympathies.
