-1950-2022
After a courageous battle with cancer, Julie passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Julie was the beloved (Pooh) wife of nearly 38 years to Bill (William/Pooh Bear) Martin. Dearest daughter to the late Mary and Richard Delewsky. Loving sister to Lenora (Ronald) Mara, Mary Ann Delewsky, Pamela (Raymond) Lagodzinski and the late Richard Delewsky. Stepmother to Michele (Timothy) Kowalczyk and Billy (William) Martin. Grandmother to Melissa (Jordan) Warford, Matthew Andary, Katie Salter, Chloe Salter, Ethan Burton and great-grandmother to Levi Bradfield.
Julie had a big heart and loved caring for people, especially her residents and their families at Shorepointe, where she was employed for several years. Upon arrival, you could always find Julie’s smiling face. She will be greatly missed by her many colleagues and all those affiliated with Shorepointe.
If you knew Julie, you knew what a creative soul she was. She loved sewing and panting. Many of her works fill their Saint Clair Shores residence, especially the many quilts she made Bill, her wall paintings (beautiful floral) work, curtains to spruce up their living room and many other things.
When Julie wasn’t working or taking care of her Pooh Bear, you could find her outside, tending to one of her many beautiful and flourishing flower gardens. Julie loved flowers and plants and really had green thumb.
If you asked the grandkids what Julie loved, they would tell you all things mystical, like an enchanted forest. She loved dragons, unicorns and all things magical, which she also spent many years collecting. Oh, and we can’t forget her love for wolves.
Julie was a fighter, she fought so hard to beat this until the end. While we are deeply saddened that she is no longer earth side with us, we find comfort that she is at peace and no longer suffering.
Fly high like the eagles you adore, Julie. Fly high!
At this time there will not be a service, as those were Julie’s wishes. The family will be having a celebration of life in the upcoming weeks.
