June Lois Boyd

June Lois (Albert) Boyd, age 93 of Roseville, died April 26, 2017 at St John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. June was born on May 28, 1923 in St Louis, Missouri to William and Lucille (Layton) Albert. June joined the Navy in 1944 as part of the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) where she met her future husband John C Boyd. They were married February 8, 1946 in Dallas , Texas and enjoyed 56 loving years until he passed away in 2003. June will be greatly missed by her children David Boyd, Donna Radcliff, Pamela Mariotto, Robert (Douglas) Boyd. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Steve (Hope) Radcliff and Michelle (Eric) Brandon; her great-grandchildren Daniel, Madison, Jordan, Connor, Stephanie and her loving caregivers Darliss, Shawn and Lynn. She was predeceased by grandson Daniel and her sons-in-law Steve Radcliff and Steve Mariotto. June was a strong and loving women who worked hard making her family happy. She enjoyed time at her vacation home in Gladwin, Michigan, watching her Detroit Tigers and Red Wings play and solving crossword puzzles. She was a great cook and her family enjoyed her wonderful meals. June was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Roseville, Michigan Chapter. She was a UAW union steward for 35 years and also a former delegate to the Michigan Democratic Convention..
