Kathleen T. Girard, 85, a sixty year resident of Roseville passed away September 23, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Girard was born on February 22, 1926, at home in Detroit to John Patrick Shea and Rose Evelyn Shea (Cavanaugh). One winter, she accepted a date to go tobogganing from Robert C. Girard. They subsequently married on October 30, 1948. Together Robert and Kay had six children. Surviving are Robert C. (Joan) Girard, Jr., Daniel Girard, Mark (Michele) Girard, and Nora Stringer. Mrs. Girard also has three surviving sisters: Sue Harding, Maureen Tymn, and Rosemary (Joe) Mulholland; Nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Kay was pre-deceased by her husband of thirty-six years in 1984. Also, pre-deceased by daughter Annette Olson and Joyce Girard.
