Lawrence Don Galbo

Lawrence Don Galbo (known as Larry) was born in Detroit on September 8, 1940, and passed away on February 12, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Marie Galbo (née Wojnarowski), his sister Sharon Grezlak (née Galbo), currently residing in Texas, and a few nephews, nieces, cousins, and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Galbo, his mother, Margery Cain, and his sister, Judy Rhea (née Galbo).

Larry was baptized at Holy Family Church and received the First Communion and Confirmation sacraments at Blessed Sacrament Church. He entered into holy matrimony with Joanne at St. Andrew’s Church on July 25, 1970, and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage.

Larry dedicated his professional life to Italy Bakery until his retirement. He had a passion for bowling and cooking and cherished spending time with friends and family. Larry attended Mass and participated in fellowship at St. Basil Catholic Church until his health prevented him from doing so.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents St. Barnabas Church, located at 26100 Ridgemont St., Roseville, MI 48066. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Fr. Ken McKenna O.S.F.S. presiding. A private interment will take place thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Memorial Donation - Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic Deaf Community - Roseville, MI, in honor of Larry.
