

Lillian Esther Paris, age 98, of Roseville, passed away June 25, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Lillian was born on September 13, 1913 in Detroit, Michigan to Joseph & Katharine (Hogan) Appel. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard S. Paris, whom she met at work at the Zenith Carburetor Company. They were married on April 27, 1935. Lillian was an active volunteer for the Michigan Cancer Society and the American Red Cross at Blood Banks. Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, quilting and gardening. She enjoyed watching sports on TV, particularly the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. She was a member of TOPS for 35 years.
Mrs. Paris was the loving mother of Barbara Bolus, Valorie Piscopo, Geraldine (Alfred) Samoranski, Robert (Carol) Paris and the late Leonard J. Paris. She was also survived by her brother, Louis Appel; her sister Emily Vermeersch, 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Friends may visit Friday 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. (with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.) Kaul Funeral Home 27830 Gratiot, Roseville. On Saturday visiting continues from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass, 10:00 a.m., at Holy Innocents Catholic Church (on the corner of Frazho and Ridgemont – between Gratiot and Hayes).
