Where do I start well I was a troubled kid who always ended up in your office when you were the principal at Roseville high school and over time you befriended me and won my trust and gave me comfort when I was in my darkest moments I still to this day cherish our talks and eating lunch together in your office and your definately my hero I will always stay strong because you taught me anything is  possible if u try your best even  when u think u can’t be strong your the strongest person I have ever known and I’m forever grateful that I had the pleasure to know such a great man thanks Mr.D I’ll never forget  you my buddy🥲❤️

Mr. D, rest in peace and remember you have to call all of your bank shot in heaven too ( He was outstanding as a coach and loved to shot the rock). Your ability to relate to all was a skills that not many have.

During the hostage crisis I remember many students were dissalusioned with the government.  One day during the pledge of allegience, in protest to the hostages going days into months as hostages without rescue, I did not stand.  I was sent to the office.  Mr. Drouillard was then the principal.  He asked me what was wrong and I told him my feelings and the reason for me not standing.  He listened to me without judgement or criticism; and as for my punishment, he said "let's say we did but there won't be any."  A man ahead of the times for sure. He had a great talent with  hearing and understanding his students which is very rare with teachers.
I will never forget him, his kindness, his understanding and his strength. To his family, you were very lucky to have him in your life.  He is definately one of a kind human being and I will miss him greatly and never forget him, my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

My memories of Mr. Drouillard are both as a coach and teacher at Roseville High School.  He had the ability to assess each one of his students/athletes and motivate them to do their very best.  He did not have a cookie cutter approach; he tailored his approach according to his student.  May his courage, his perseverance and dedication live on in each of you.

My sister, Cyndi Marr Schummer Adams and me, Debbie Marr-Hubbard had Mr. Drouillard as a latin teacher in 1976.  He had such great humor and was a wonderful teacher!  May he dance with the angels!!

I lived across the street from Marty in 80's. New him from High school in 60's ,Was a real Gentleman. I had the unfortunate luck to be on duty the day he dove in pool and injured his spine and made the rescue run from the fire dept.. He didn't allow his disability to sloe him down with career and vitality. will really be missed.

I had Mr. Drouillard for English at Guest Jr. High. I enjoyed his teachings  and he was a talker. He held my interest in English. He always made time for the students. Sorry for your loss to his children.

Oh what a loss to everyone who knew him. 
Always so friendly to take the time out to "chat". He was my 10th grade English teacher and was honestly the BEST teacher I ever had, period! He was principal for all 3 of my kids. I spoke with him at every open house and conference for them all. I've seen him over the years many times, at different functions and he was NEVER to busy to say hi and catch up.

Coach Drouillard took over our JV basketball team in 1972.  Over the years I've oft admired how he committed he was to help our rag-tag team.   We had an astonishingly bad year (1 win, 15 losses), but he was a trooper and managed to keep us inspired enough to keep trying.  And, during practice, he would love to show off nailing his >30' jump shots.   That season and his guidance were great learning experiences.   Rest in peace, coach.

"To Sir With Love"--LULU say this just a year before we meet.  And all these years later I still think of you often.  A true mentor to scores of kids that passed thru his doorway.  All the selfless hour he gave to Roseville Handicapped Association.  How do we thank you?  Once in the early 90's you were a patient where I worked.  Even then you snapped right back into teacher mode , even though you were in ICU.  Given me orders and when I didn't move fast enough you strongly insisting "Remember  gravity Carrier" take care of this....we all loved you. God's Speed. Love , the Carrier clan--1973 graduate

I attended the Roseville school system & graduated from Roseville High School in 1983.  Mr. Drouillard was tough yet kind about our much needed discipline, of course you never appreciate that until you are older and wiser.  He was such a handsome man with a dynamite smile.  Thanks for all you did for so many to guide on on our journey.   May you rest in peace and God bless your family as they mourn your passing.  Deepest sympathy to your family.

Students always looked forward to his classes. He thoroughly enjoyed teaching and seeing accomplishments in his students. Marty was the most amazing person I ever had the pleasure of working with.  His soft-spoken approach to problems and his friendly nature concealed the incredible toughness and fortitude the man had!  What a role model for always maintaining a great sense of humor and positive attitude despite the setbacks he constantly faced.  His administrative "chops" were second to none and he never ceased to amaze me with his pragmatic and humorous approach to solving problems.  Rest in Peace, Mr. D. and run to the top of the class for all the lives you have positively touched!!

It is such an amazing tribute to a principal that so many students admired and respected Mr. Drouillard. Personally, I can't remember another principal's name from all my years in Roseville schools, with the exception of Mr. D. Even 30 years after my graduation, my mom says he asked about me every time he saw her. I'm lucky to have known such a wonderful man, and my heartfelt sympathies go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

What a wonderful man!! My heart goes out to his children and close friends.. my prayers are with you! I always enjoyed talking to Marty when he came to get a hair cut years ago at Style Stop.  I called him Mr. Drouillard for the longest time and he would correct me and tell me "it ok to call me Marty now"  he was a such a genuine great person. I will truly miss him

Hi, I was Mr. Drouillard's Athletic Director's co-op secretary in 1984/1985.   He was an inspiration for sure.  From what I could tell, he never let his handicap get in the way or get him down and he loved to kid around.  I know he had a positive effect on so many students and others during his life.  His family is right to be very proud.

Everyone who knew Mr. Drouillard at Roseville High School loved Mr. Drouillard.  I had the pleasure of speaking with just last month and we had a wonderful chat about his school days with us students.  He was so very proud of what so many have accomplished in their lives, and he voice was beaming.  One of the favorite things about Mr. Drouillard was his humor....he never let life's challenges take it away from him.  What a remarkable man!  He was a blessing to so many, and he will be missed by all.  May God comfort the family and friends with His love and give them His peace that surpasses all understanding.

Dear Family and Friends of Marty, Please accept my heartfelt sympath in Marty's passing.  He has fought a long and courageous fight with his health.  He was one of the bravest individual I have ever known!  I have known Marty since we played aganist each other in high school with him at Sacred Heart and me at St. Marys.  Then we continued our professional and personal friendship when he became an administrator in the Roseville and I became an administrator in L'Anse Creuse.  Marty was a wonderful educator and we were very much alike because anytime we had to make a decision for our students we always asked "what was good for the kids" and did it!! I had Mr. Drouillard as a teacher quite a few years ago. (He taught my Latin class). Both of my children also knew him during his years at Roseville High School. Very homored to know this man.

You were an awesome person with no limits and helped to guide a lot of young people! Me being one of them. Class of 1997. Forever in my heart and always thinking of you!

Marty was my first football/basketball coach way back in my Sacred Heart Grade School days.  I think he had more fun practicing than we did. Those are great memories and it was all because of him and how he taught us so well.

Martin was a stand out guy to all his classmates at Sacred Heart High Class of '64. Lots of memories. A really authentic man with a big heart. God Bless you and keep you.

So very sad by this news. Marty was  always  a very fair , honest and funny man. As principal at RHS my 3 children who attended always spoke highly of him.My husband worked for many years with his dad at Roseville Police Dept.and because of that we got to know his wonderful mom and sister...Great family. May the great memories you all have of him help you through this most difficult of times and knowing Marty he is now taking a long walk with a big smile on his face.

Mary was my principal when I attended High School at Roseville High.  He was an inspiration, always there to help.  Always there when I got in trouble too, but a great principal.  My condolences to the family.  They have lost a wonderful person.

Marty was my evaluating Assistant Principal when I first came to work in Roseville.  He was very patient, and helped me adjust to my new job.  I will never forget his kindness, and what a great mentor he was.  So sorry for your loss.  He will be missed.

After a cold dreary track practice he says to me, Greschak you should run for class president. The idea had never occurred to me. I didn't view myself that way. But he did. So I did. Vale, mi amice. Somnum. Class of 79.

I choose to remember Mr. Drouillard as one of my more positive memories of my time in Roseville.  He was a great man.  May he RIP after having to endure so much in life.  God Bless his family.

I am certain there was not a finer teacher or administrator or man than Marty Drouillard.  His twisted humor, ability to empathize, steady fairness and enduring kindness was truly a gift to all the students that passed through his classroom or office over the years.  He handed out detention with such a style you almost couldn't complain.  His wit made Latin class seem like a party every single day. He offered guidance and compassion and friendship to anyone that needed it. Even after his accident when I'm certain a lesser man would have given up, he persevered and made the best of the hand he was dealt - providing an even more impressive role model of strength and dignity for all those around him.  He was my sister's (Debbie Richards-Krajniak) favorite teacher from the time he started teaching at Guest and later at Roseville, and because of all her great Mr. D stories I couldn't wait to have him as a teacher myself.  He didn't disappoint -- he was my favorite too.  I'm am profoundly sad about his passing, he will truly be missed. To his family ... I offer my sincere condolences. Your loss is great, but I hope your memories and those shared by all the people whose lives he touched and the legacy of love and respect he leaves behind will bring you peace and strength. Rest in Peace Mr. D you have truly earned a special place in heaven.
