A proud Army veteran, Mike, was known for his dedicated service to his community and his unwavering support of fellow veterans.
For over 30 years, Mike worked for the City of Roseville, where he was a familiar face, taking pride in maintaining the city he loved. His commitment to the community extended far beyond his professional life.
As a proud Army veteran, Mike was a dedicated member of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 154 in Clinton Township. He spent many hours volunteering with the organization, embodying the spirit of "veterans helping veterans" by supporting local vets and their families through the VVA's various initiatives.
When he wasn’t serving the community, Mike was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy in hunting.
Beloved husband of the late Shari. Loving father of Michael J. Gardner, Jr. Dear brother-in-law of Mike Sprenger, Lori Rafalski and Karen Wirth. Mike was predeceased by his brother Rick Gardner and sister-in-law Ruth Gardner and his brother-in-law Al Wirth and sister-in-law Carol Carlson. Mike is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 12PM until 4PM with Military Honors at 3:30PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville, MI 48066.
