Regina is survived by her children; Donn (Sheryl) Szostak & Kathleen Szostak, her grandson Jonathan (Ann Marie) and her great grandchildren; Kaydence & Cole and her niece Peggy Shapiro. Regina was preceded in death by her husband Casmere Szostak (of 60 years); her parents and her sister Hedwick Osikowicz.
Regina helped the cause of freedom during WWII, by helping make parachutes for service personnel at Park Davis. She stayed home to raise her children, when they were older she went to work at Hudson’s, where she retired. She and her husband enjoyed traveling very much, some of their favorite trips were Alaska, Hawaii, Las Vegas and The House on the Rock in Wisconsin. She enjoyed Polish Foods, especially her daughter's sauerkraut & Kielbasa, she always said "it was to die for". She and her husband enjoyed the garden in their yard very much, it had a variety of vegetables. She shared her tomatoes with all her loved ones.
Regina will always be remembered with deep appreciation and her fighting spirit through the years with various illnesses by family and friends.
Regina appreciated Kathy's good care she gave over the years. She always said she couldn't thank Kathy enough for giving up her life to care for her. It paid off to be 98, I'm glad I took care of her and didn't put her in a Nursing Home. May she rest in Peace.
