Richard was a true outdoorsman and a gifted tinkerer. Whether he was carving fresh trails through the snow on his snowmobile, waiting patiently in the woods while hunting, or covered in grease wrenching on his latest ride, he was always in his element.
When he wasn’t outdoors or in the garage, Richard loved testing his luck at the casino. He had a knack for winning, famously walking away with several big-ticket items over the years.
Above all, Richard valued the people closest to him. His memory will be kept alive by his loving family and the blended inner circle that meant the world to him.
He is survived by his daughter Kayla Westerfield; his longtime companion Kristen Klein; his longtime companion's daughter, Kaitlyn (Steve); his beloved grandson, Grayson; his devoted brothers Parker, Robert, John (Dawn), Marvin and Rodney (Krissy) and his sister-in-law Ann; his nieces and nephews Cindy, Gloria, John Jr., Jake, Rachel, Tiffany, Robert, Rodmen, Dylan, Steve and Ken. Richard was predeceased by his parents Robert and June; and brother, James.
