I first met Richard back in 1979 at Guitar &Drum Center where I worked. He was trying out some bass gear. His playing and personality (that smile and laugh) got my attention. We bumped into each over the years at jams and shows. I always wanted to be in a band with him so in 92 I asked him to join my band. The next year 93 the new band Coda was complete. What a great time it was for us playing and writing music we loved. Guido was an unbelievable person. He was a master musician and one of the kindest guys you could ever meet. I feel lucky and grateful for the time we had together as musician brothers. He will always be in my heart and mind. Rip Guido🙏❤️🎸

I first saw Richard when he and Darryl and Jeff Plummer played at my High School. He was an inspiration then and continued to be ever since. I took over on bass after he left to play with Tin Soldier but I'll be the first to admit that I couldn't hold a candle to him. Not many could. He was exceptional on so many levels. As a performer he was one of the most professional musicians I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I was surprised and deeply saddened to hear about Guido’s passing. He had an impact on my life and now it seems there is a tempo change in the rhythm of life.
It was an honor and a privilege to mix sound for Tin Soldier in the early 80s. Listening to their tunes “The Bitter End” and “That’s The Way It Goes” have a more emotional meaning to me now.
Keep a steady pocket and play on brother!

I still can't believe you're gone. But at least I have 40 years of memories. I'll never be able to bake an apple pie again without thinking of you and the pies I'd bake you when you were in LA with Mexico 70. (Not to mention all the apple pie you ordered anytime we were at a restaurant.)

This picture is the day that changed things for you and got you the gig with Mexico 70. You called me your good luck charm from that day on. I wish I could've brought you luck against this nasty virus.

RIP dear Guido.
