When I was going to water aerobics I would, sometimes, be next to Bob and would sing with the music. He seemed to enjoy my singing. He was a lovely man. Rest in peace, Bob.

Mr. Gielniak was a salt of the earth man. He was a war veteran, retired letter carrier, businessman, and beloved husband, father, and grandfather. I was a member of the South Macomb Letter Carriers Association and I always looked forward to reading Gilly's Corner, the regular column Mr. Gielniak wrote for that organization's newsletter. He was a shining light in this world, and his legacy is his wonderful children and grandchildren and all the others he mentored such as Mr. Korolowicz. He was a very nice fellow. God bless him and the Gielniak family during this time of mourning.

I had a choice to go into management or get involved in the union. Bob talked me into getting involved in the union. I know that was the right decision. Bob helped so many letter carriers. He will be missed, not only by me, but many carriers that he touched throughtout the years.

Bob was treasurer when I started my part time officer position with the branch and his advice was always to the point and always with an interesting story to back it up. I'll never forget the children's Christmas parties with Bob saving those toys he had purchased throughout the year and then stopping to give the kids at Boveschen School a treat with the excess toys and his work selling ads to fund our scholarship program. Thanks for all your hard work for the branch "Gilly" Mike Sheridan, President of Branch 4374 NALC

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He used to say he liked standing next to me at the pool because I sang along with the music and he enjoyed my voice. I haven't been at the pool for over a year. May he rest in peace. He was a very sweet man.
