My dad called me in the morning after Uncle Bob passed away during the night... and I'll never forget the dream I'd had during the night he passed. I have frequent dreams of riding a motorcycle at night, in the summer, always a very calm and peaceful dream as I slowly putter along the empty side streets. I was at the beginning of this very familiar dream when there was a very large, long, black motorcycle stopped in the street. The tires were like car tires and it had mutliple engines. The rider was wearing a helmut with a black face shield and as I pulled next to it in the street, I was aware it was Uncle Bob, although I couldn't see his face. I asked him if he wanted to race and he laughed and said, "This bike is not very fast... but once it gets going you can't keep up." It was then I'd noticed a similar motorcycle to his just behind him. It too had a rider with a black face shield. The rider looked at me but said nothing. In my dream I somehow knew this other rider was a female. I think it's possible that I was seeing Uncle Bob off to the next world as he was passing during the night, the female rider was his protector, an angel? I don't know...

I've never had such a profound dream experience like this before and whenever my mind wanders to Uncle Bob, I think about this dream and what it means, if it means anything? I hope this doesn't upset anyone and I hope this is an appropriate place to share it.

My enduring memory of Uncle Bob, was as a young boy, when my "cool uncle" pulled up in front of our house on a weekend morning on his motorcycle. My mom was making breakfast and I'll never forget my horror as Uncle Bob slathered his entire breakfast with kethcup. LOL.

Our family is very sorry for the loss of Bob. Gail and I are so thankful that you both stopped by Algonac to see is this past summer while we were camping. All of us kids grew up camping with your children and our parents. God Bless our dear friend. We will always remember him and we are so sorry for the loss of your dear husband. May the Lord be with all of you now and forever.
