

Ann Schell Norvelle, born on July 13, 1933, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017. Ann was proud to be a native Atlantan. She began her career at Delta Airlines in 1952. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She returned to the workforce in 1975, working for Coca Cola Foods Division. Ann retired in 1995 and began traveling the world – a passion she continued as long as she was able. She was a long-time member of the Roswell UMC Travel Club. Her favorite trips were to the Holy Land, Russia and a special train trip to Banff with her long-time companion, Bill Webb. Ann was a committed church member, most recently active at Northbrook United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities. Ann was devoted to her girls and her cherished grandchildren. The birth of her first great-grandchild, Kyla Rose, brought joy to each day. Though she abandoned home cooking 30 years ago, she enjoyed treating her family members to delightful meals around Atlanta. Beloved for her generous nature and welcoming smile, Ann will be sorely missed by her many friends and family. The family wishes to thank the staff at Brookdale Chambrel for their loving care and attention, most particularly Jennifer, Lisa and Anna. She is survived by her girls, Renee Norvelle McCrary (Bill), Alisa Norvelle; her grandchildren Tyler McComas (Rachel), Marisa McComas, Miriam Coonan, Justin McCrary (Kasey), Jamie McCrary, John McCrary; great-granddaughter Kyla Rose McComas. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm, Monday, February 6, Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd Roswell, Georgia 30076. The funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, Northbrook United Methodist Church, 11225 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia 30075. Reception following service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northbrook United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
