Anne Douglas Medley, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 28th, 2015. She was a gentle and kind woman who doted on her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, especially Kayla and Jacob, whom she raised as her own. Anne was always a positive person who did her best to see the good in others.
She had a very fulfilling career as a school bus driver in the North Fulton County
District for over 30 years. Her job was to transport those precious children to school and back home safely every day. She loved her job dearly, took it very seriously, and was loved by “Miss Anne’s “ kids, very much in return.. This job was her life , especially when her own children left the roost. She will be missed greatly by all who were touched by her and who loved her very much.
Anne is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Blue, and her father, Granger Douglas. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James Paul Medley, her children, Chris, Terry, Rodney, and Demetria, and their spouses, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the Douglas and Patten families for their loving support during our time of mourning.
“Not one day will go by without us thinking of you and missing you. Goodbye, Mother.”
A service to celebrate the life of Anne Medley will be held on Saturday, March, 7,2015 at 2:00 in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home.
