Barbara C. Molitoris

October 5, 1954-June 15, 2011

Barbara Crute Molitoris, 56, of Alpharetta, GA, died with her family at her side, and went to be with her Savior, on Wednesday June 15, 2011. Born in Greenfield, West Virginia, to parents Don and Lois Crute, she graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, with a degree in Elementary Education. A week after graduation, she married her college sweetheart, Eric Molitoris, and prior to her death, they celebrated 35 years of marriage. Their son Taylor was the joy of her life and both she and Eric were fixtures at all of his East Cobb and Walton High School baseball and football games.

Barbara had a passion for decorating and worked with Darren Designs for several years. In recent years, she enjoyed their cottage home on St. Simon’s Island (SSI) where her decorating skills were evident to everyone who saw this unique home. Barbara loved SSI, and strived to make everyone’s visit to ‘her island’ a memorable occasion.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Don and Lois Crute, and sister, Dawn Carolyn Crute, and is survived by her husband Eric and son Taylor. She was a beautiful, extraordinary woman and will be missed by her many friends and family that loved her and whom she influenced and inspired.

A memorial/celebration service will be held Monday June 20, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Road Marietta, GA 30068. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery 950 Mansell Road Roswell, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Caringbridge.org in Barbara’s memory.
