

Benjamin Abiodun Olumuyiwa of Snellville, Georgia passed away on October 08, 2019 at the age of 72 years at Amicasa Hospice and Home Care in Decatur, Georgia. Benjamin was born December 29, 1946, in Lagos, Nigeria to the late Simeon and Julianna Olumuyiwa (Shekoni). In addition to his parents, Benjamin was also preceded in death by his brother Michael Kolawole Olumuyiwa; sisters Mosumola and Olanrewaju Olumuyiwa; and daughter Akiela Olumuyiwa-White.
Benjamin is survived by wife Rosa Ann Olumuyiwa (Mills), married August 21, 1974; brother Edward Olumuyiwa of New York City, New York; sister Matilda Adigun (Michael) of Washington D.C.; sons Babatunde Olumuyiwa (Jondi) of Marietta, Georgia, OluGbenga Olumuyiwa (Yetunde) of Dayton, Ohio; daughter Abimbola Olumuyiwa of Roswell, Georgia; mother of his children Olayemi Odufuwa of Marietta, Georgia and six grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Benjamin formerly served in the Nigerian Army Sigma Corps from 1965 through 1982. He permanently immigrated to United States in 1982 and worked as a cabman, later earning his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from DeVry University. He repaired televisions and electronic devices as a hobby and to earn additional income.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road Roswell, Georgia with Nathan Boyce officiating the service. He will be cremated at a later date. The family will receive friends Sunday 12:00 to 2:00 PM October 20, 2019 at Roswell Funeral Home.
