Born on January 3, 1931, in Alpharetta, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruby Scott. A graduate of Milton High School, Betty never missed a single day of school—a testament to her strong spirit and dedication.
After she graduated from school, she married and started a family. Betty worked for Irvindale Dairy for 27 years and later spent 20 years at Hardee’s, where she worked until she was in her 80’s. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Known for her daily phone calls to check in on loved ones, she always put others first and rarely spoke about herself. Her quiet, steady presence and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Steve Tucker; nieces Elaine Lyda (Larry), Delores Stancil, and Terry Norton (Benny); stepbrother Wayne Davis (Jane); and several beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Reid Tucker Jr.; and her brothers Leonard, James, Buck (Doris), and Alvin Scott.
Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband at Green Lawn Cemetery, Roswell, Georgia. Services will be private.
