

Mr. Romine was born on June 10, 1935, in Spencer, West Virginia, and grew up in Akron, Ohio. He studied at the Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Arizona State University. Mr. Romine completed his academic career, specializing in international trade at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Mr. Romine was an international corporate leader and a world traveler. He was Carnation Milk Company country director in Singapore and Thailand, in the 1960s and 1970s. Returning to the United States in 1971, he held executive positions at Premier and Morgan Adhesives. Through the 1980s, Mr. Romine co-founded the successful office supply company DJR Ltd. and owned and operated popcorn and ice cream franchises.
He participated in community service and leadership positions as a board member of two churches in Ohio and later in Florida, as a court-appointed advocate for children, and for years, delivering Meals on Wheels in his communities in Florida and Cumming, Georgia. He also sponsored a child in the Forsyth County Mentor Me program and donated to Palmer Home for Children for many years.
Mr. Romine is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer “Peck” Romine and Opal Thrash Romine, and his beloved wife Marilyn Anne Romine. He is survived by his sister Ann Romine Talton and her family, his daughters Traci Romine and Ruy de Goes, Jodi and Jeff Beck and Beth and Matt Miller, and his eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service for Bod Romine at 2 p.m., June 11, at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia, with a reception to follow at Beth Miller’s home. He will be buried alongside his wife at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio, 44087.
