He leaves behind his beautiful and most beloved daughter Sienna Anne Maller, his life partner of 22 years Kirsten Scheidemann, and his brothers Tim Maller, Leslie Maller, and Randy Maller. He also leaves behind his father and mother in law Loretta and William Scheidemann, as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews in both Canada and the United States - all Ukrainian.
Brian left Canada after graduating high school in Kelowna, British Columbia and moved to the states to attend UCLA, paying for school by working as an EMT and graduating with a degree in Applied Mathematics. He went on to have a successful career in banking and finance in New York City spending over 10 years at Bear, Stearns as a Managing Director. In 2017 he joined MEAG Power in Atlanta as Director of Finance and Treasury leaving behind Manhattan and Pound Ridge, New York for new adventures and so Sienna could go to the Swift School for Dyslexia. While Brian always gave 100% to every work effort, his most important and best job (and passion) was being Sienna's dad. Sienna and Papa enjoyed tickle fights, emoji wars, skiing, gardening either on a tiny balcony in Roswell, GA or their big yard in Pound Ridge, NY, online car racing (a big favorite), boating, a passion for perogi's, drive-in movies, bike rides, off-roading in his giant pick up truck, More Cow Bell, and travel. Brian made sure Sienna took her first trip to Europe before she was in middle school in December 2019 and even took a trip off the beaten path to visit a power generation facility and windmills in Holland. Brian's favorite movie was Guardians of the Galaxy and he would often blast the soundtracks while he took his family on road trips that always included a stop at Dairy Queen. Brian was generous, kind, thoughtful, and Sienna’s hair stylist. Privately he was very funny, generous, and - nobody planned a better day trip or vacation than Brian Maller!
Our dear loved one, brother, uncle, and friend deserves a beautiful tribute of his life. Please be with us in prayer and reflection to celebrate the life of our beloved Brian. A service will be planned for some time in the future.
