Bruce Allen Bergherm MD

Bruce A. Bergherm, MD., 80, of Alpharetta, GA passed away on May 7, 2012. Dr. Bergherm was born in Manila, P.I. of missionary parents. He is a graduate of Washington Adventist University, University of Nuevo Leon and a residency at George Washington University. After serving as an anesthesiologist at Piedmont Hospital for 25 years, he practiced at Newton General Hospital and Baptist Hospital, Cumming, GA. He served for many years as Chairman of the Board for Atlanta Adventist Academy and was also Chairman of the Board for Smyrna Towers. He was an Elder in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Bruce is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernice Bergherm; sons, Bruce (Ellen), Brent (Leigh Ann) and Brian (Debbie); grandchildren, Bruce III, Christopher, Nashay, Melanie, Garrett, Nicholas and Alexandra; great grandchildren, Graceson, Blake, Kaleb, Evan, Sariya and Faith. Visitation will be held on May 9 from 6pm to 8pm at Roswell Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on May 10 at 2pm at Roswell Funeral Home with Elder Albert Ellis and Elder Noel Shanko officiating. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Memorial Park.
