It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carlton John Peterson who passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on December, 27 1937. He was a devoted husband to Linda Peterson and a loving father to his children, Gail, Frank and Ron. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Carlton earned his undergraduate degree, and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He also served in the Air Force, and he worked for several distinguished companies developing aerospace technologies (Hughes, TRW, Northrop Grumman, and Mitre Corporation). His personal interests varied widely. Carlton was a Realtor, managed his wife's band, enjoyed flying small planes, and earned local notoriety supporting a plan to expand roadways in the Northern Virginia area.
He is survived by his children, Gail Gibson and Ron Peterson, his grandchildren, Erin, Lindsay, and Chris, and his great grandchildren, PJ and Maddy.
A funeral service will be held at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA on May 19, 2025
