Carolyn was born on March 17, 1929 in Splendora, Texas, the daughter to the late Jerome and Dollie Holland.
Carolyn met the love of her life, Clyde, in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1946. They married on September 4, 1948. Their marriage was based on mutual support, respect, and a deep love for one another. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Cathy and Christy.
Carolyn and Clyde loved each other deeply and enjoyed many years together. While they both considered Shreveport to be their hometown, they moved to the Atlanta area in 1997 to be near their daughters and grandchildren, which were the pride and joy of her life.
Carolyn was a kind and gentle person who most enjoyed being with her family and traveling around the world with her husband. Carolyn had a great mind for business. She worked as a former bookkeeper and enjoyed working with numbers. In her later years, she loved eating out at restaurants, eating vanilla ice-cream, and drinking Coca-Colas.
She will be remembered most for her unconditional love, graciousness, generosity, selflessness, and loyalty. She was a natural beauty with a warm smile, and a true classic southern lady. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew and loved her and she will be dearly missed.
She missed her husband, Clyde, very much and spoke of him nearly every day since his passing in 2002.
She is now reunited with her true love and other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ingram, brother, Jake Holland, and granddaughter, Lauren Foley. She is survived by her sister, Marolyn Wolf, and two loving daughters: Cathy Carson and Christy Foley; 3 grandchildren, Diane Goldsmith, Stephen Williams, and Shannon Foley Truax, and 3 great-grandchildren, Catie Goldsmith, Corie Goldsmith, and Bryce Williams.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A private graveside service will occur Saturday, August 27, 2022.
