Charles Hamrick, 81, of Brookhaven, GA, passed away on August 20, 2013. He was a member of the Atlanta Street Baptist Church for over 60 years, a Mason with the Chamblee Sardis Lodge for over 50 years and retired from a long career with General Electric at the Chamblee plant. Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Willene Lamb Hamrick and is survived by his son, Wayne (Loretta) Hamrick; grandchildren, Sgt. Michael (Ginny) Hamrick, SPC. Jacob Hamrick; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Nicholas; sisters, Florene Holbrook and Arphie Warren; numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted but donations can also be made to the Masonic Children’s Home Endowment Fund Grand Lodge of GA, 811 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201. Visitation will be held August 24 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on August 25 at 1:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home with a Receiving of Friends an hour prior.
