Charles Alfred McClendon, age 77, of Roswell, Georgia, died Sunday. Born in Warren, Arkansas on August 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Harriett Hankins McClendon and Alfred Thornton McClendon. He is survived by his wife, Carol McClendon; daughter, Lesley McClendon; and brother, Mike McClendon. He was preceded in death by wife, Marion McClendon and son, Charles Bradley McClendon.
Mr. McClendon held a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University. He enjoyed working as a tax attorney and founded the McClendon CPA & Law Firm in 1984.
He was a member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s, the American Institute id CPA’s, the State Bar of Georgia, and Mensa. He is fondly remembered for his great passion for learning and reading, and for his kindness as a loving husband, father, and friend.
Visitation will take place at Roswell Funeral Home on February 26 from 10:00am to 11:00am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00am.
