Abschied ist der Beginn von Erinnerung(Farewell is the beginning of memory)January 8th 1944 in Karlsruhe Germany, Christa was born to Otto and Marie Anna Rauch and was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother Theo. Twenty years and 68 days later she married Raymond and in February 1973 welcomed her beloved son Steven. As a seasoned military spouse, she opened her arms to help young officer’s wives adjust to the military and cope with their husband’s deployments during the Vietnam conflict. She willingly volunteered to help disadvantaged preschool children under the 1964 Head Start Program and always took great pride in seeing a child’s steady improvement. For fun she enjoyed having friends over for dinner and of course sipping a fine wine. She deeply treasured the laughter, memories, and time spent here and abroad with her beloved family and especially when she won at Euchre.
